IBAVI COIL
For many years, the International Beliefs and Values Institute (IBAVI) has been involved in Virtual Exchange (VE), Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), and other forms of virtual learning through various research, educational, service, and grant-based initiatives.1
COIL Consultation and Collaboration. We use a consultancy model and collaborative approach that defers to the expertise and interests of faculty in order to provide VE / COIL training, support, and assessment in an efficient and responsive manner.
COIL Evaluation and Facilitation. As part of this process, we offer depth-based, comprehensive, and ecologically valid evaluation and facilitation of COIL that is consistent with guiding principles and best practices of applied assessment research. For example, through the COIL BEVI Project and COIL BEVI Project Research Plan, we engage in state-of-the art research, teaching, curricular / program design, evaluation, and professional development.
COIL Opportunities for IBAVI Global Universities. The international consortium of universities that is part of IBAVI Global is eligible for VE / COIL training and support at no cost to their faculty, students, staff, and administrators. Such engagement also provides full access to the Beliefs, Events, and Values Inventory (BEVI) as well as its AI (artificial intelligence) and VR (virtual reality) reporting and engagement systems.
